Police: Clover man arrested
after firing gun in Nascar

A Clover man fired his gun several times Sunday in celebration of Tony Stewart winning the Nascar championship, police say.
Brian Kevin Young, 46, was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct, damage to property and use of a firearm under the influence. He is currently at Moss Justice Center awaiting bond.
Deputies were called to Pine Knot Court and Birchwood Drive in Clover Sunday evening after reports of shots fired, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.
Young came to the door and admitted to shooting a Glock 9mm in celebration of driver Stewart winning Sunday's championship. Deputies told him to stop shooting because it was dark and he had been drinking.
A few minutes later, at least four more shots were fired, and deputies returned to the scene, the report states. Young once more came to the door with a beer in hand admitted to shooting, and he was arrested.

He refused to allow deputies inside his home. After they obtained a search warrant, they found the gun and a magazine for it inside, the report states.
His fiancee told deputies she saw Young fire the gun out the back door, the report states. Empty shells were found on the back porch and yard
