drinking at Rock Hill party
ROCK HILL --
At least 15 people were cited for underage drinking after police busted a party Friday at a Rock Hill home.
Police received an anonymous tip about underage drinking and drug use at an Ashley Park Road residence Friday night, according to a Rock Hill police report. Several people under the legal drinking age of 21 were inside, and beer cans were spread throughout the home. Most of the suspects were teens under age 18.
The homeowner, Jeremy Encinas, 20, was charged with marijuana possession and purchasing alcohol for minors, the report states. He was the host of the party and was highly intoxicated. An unlabeled prescription bottle in his pocket contained .53 grams of marijuana.
A 17-year-old at the scene was also extremely intoxicated and treated by EMS, the report states. Approximately 15 citations were issued to minors at the party.
Encinas was taken to Rock Hill City Jail.
