A York County man was in the Rock Hill jail Saturday after he allegedly spit at officers Friday following his arrest on charges of public disorderly intoxication and damage to property, according to Rock Hill police.
Quinton Bacote, 38, was charged Friday morning after Bacote allegedly tore the door handle off another man’s car, a police report states.
Officers stated that Bacote spat while in the back of the patrol car.
At the jail, Bacote kicked and pulled away after an officer tried to shield other officers from being spit on by covering Bacote’s head with his shirt.
